Michael Dubyak is Chairman and CEO of Wright Express, a position he has held since May, 2008. He joined the start-up Wright Express in 1986 as vice president of marketing and held increasingly senior positions in marketing, marketing services, sales, business development and customer services before being named executive vice president in 1997. He became president and chief executive officer in August 1998.

Mr. Dubyak helped build the company and create the vision, strategic plans, infrastructure and operating philosophies that now drive its success. He has guided the technological transformation of Wright Express, developed new market strategy and instituted aggressive growth and market leadership goals. Under his direction, revenue has grown significantly over the past four years.

During his career at Wright Express, Mr. Dubyak has been instrumental in establishing the company's four lines of business strategy in North America, including the development of Private Label and Cobrand relationships in the United States and driving retail acceptance of the Wright Express Universal Fleet Card. He also launched the Wright Express MasterCard Corporate Card business to penetrate new markets and played a vital role in solidifying the company's relationship with Canada-based Imperial Oil Ltd.  He has also transformed Wright Express into the International arena, with operations and office in London, Auckland, New Zealand, Melbourne and Sydney, Australia.

Prior to joining Wright Express, Mr. Dubyak worked in marketing and supply and distribution at Pennzoil Company for three years before joining Reserve Petroleum Company in 1977 where he helped drive its commercial fuels and lubricants strategy.

Mr. Dubyak earned his bachelor's degree from Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio. He is a member of the University of Southern Maine Board of Visitors, and has served on the board of the United Way of Greater Portland, the Governor’s Council on Competitiveness and the Economy and the New England Advisory Council of the Boston Federal Reserve.
